Highland Cattle Sales

Hairy cows were the order of the day yesterday at the Highland Cattle Sales just up the road from us here at Cologin. Highland cattle, instantly recognisable with their long horns and flowing coats, spread from the west of Scotland throughout the world. Written records go back to the 18th century and the Highland Cattle Herd Book, first published in 1885, lists pedigrees since that time.
