Cologin is less than 3 miles from Oban and whilst it’s easy to reach Oban by public transport the options are not so good once you are here. Sadly, there is no bus service in our glen and the school bus will not allow passengers. You will find the locals are happy to pick up hitchhikers but to get the most out of your stay in Argyll we recommend that you have access to a car during your visit. If you want to keep your carbon footprint down and you’re happy to use the buses that operate locally take a look at the bus route map here. We also recommend downloading the West Coast Motors app – this gives live departure times, journey planning and timetables on the go.

Once in Oban, take the A816 towards Lochgilphead and turn RIGHT to LERAGS just past Oban Livestock Market. Follow the single track road into Lerags Glen for about ½ mile and turn RIGHT to Cologin and The Barn. The first building you will see as you arrive at Cologin is The Barn – our country pub/restaurant. The Barn features prominently on our layout guide which we send with your check in details so you can easily orientate yourself and find your booked accommodation.
