The Barn’s Back in Business – now open daily

The Barn Bar closed way back in March following Scottish government guidelines and reopened to the public on 16th July. Not surprisingly there were plenty of locals in the first night – testing the new one way system and getting used to Covid 19 changes. Thankfully some things have not changed. There’s craft ale in the taps and good home cooked food on offer at affordable prices.  Despite the masks and visors there’s still the same friendly welcome from the staff so please come along and give them your support this summer.

Social distancing is at 1 m and it’s table service only so (for now) no banter at the bar, no big groups, no singing or dancing and lots of signs to encourage hand hygiene. It will all take a bit of getting used to, but we hope visitors will enjoy being able to eat out without having to head into Oban.

And from 1st August the Barn is participating in the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out discount scheme. As long as you can book a table then you’ll get up to £10 off food and drinks (soft drinks only).
