We’re OFFICIALLY Good to Go!
We are delighted to announce that we’ve acquired the ‘Good to Go’ UK wide Industry Standard mark for Cologin. This means that our business has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
This week we also learnt that self-catering properties could re-open to holiday makers from 3rd July which will coincide with the local travel restrictions lifting in Scotland. Allowing visitors from beyond a 5 mile radius will certainly bring more guests to Cologin and we’ve had a rush of bookings from customers old and new who are clearly desperate to get away for a break and enjoy Cologin’s tranquil setting.
We really are GOOD TO GO – and we are keen to get going!
As we now have a clear re-opening date from the First Minister we will start collecting payments for booked stays. New bookings will be taken with our standard deposit, but we’ve decide to keep our flexible cancellation policy for the rest of this year. Guests can book with certainty that if there’s a sudden spike and a regional lock down affects Cologin OR our guest then we will waive our admin fee and rearrange the booking. If can’t find a date that is suitable we will issue a credit voucher for the deposit and refund the balance payment. And as we not collecting final balance payments until 14 days before arrival we hope that’s plenty of time to change plans.
Another new feature (one that helped us gain our UK wide industry mark) is the provision of a new online guest portal so our customers can manage their booking online. Guests create their own person log in and can view not only their current (and past) bookings but they can view and download all the information from our updated Welcome Folder and all current Coronavirus documentation and operational changes that we’ve made to mitigate the risk from Covid 19.
