Honestly I’m not sure how to even start this post… Yesterday was one of the hardest days for us. The time had come where we had to say goodbye to the legend that is Benji. Not just the best family dog but also the absolute face of Cologin. He would greet guests before I even had time to see them! All our regulars know him well and he knew exactly who to come to for treats and sausages. Thank you all for allowing him into your lodges and giving him so much love.
It’s crazy because you know this day will come when you open your hearts to the small loveable little fur bundle that enters your home but it really doesn’t make it any easier. They are forever part of your family, one that you make so many memories with and one that will always hold a place in your heart. The place won’t be the same without him. Toby has some very big shoes to fill. Run free big brown bear.

What started out as a plan to just do the roof and bathroom ended up with us knocking some walls down to open up the space, put new floors in, a kitchen re juggle so we could fit a full size fridge and a lot of decorating 😅 I’ve still to finalise a few touches but I thought it was time to share a glimpse of the progress 😍 I hope you like it! #winterimprovements #renovations #smallbusiness #movingforward #decorating

As I sit here having a very different Hogmanay I wanted to drop on here to wish all our past and future guests a Happy New Year 🎉🎉

I have had far less time this year to be active on social media but your positive reviews, well wishes, gifts and just general support does not go unnoticed 🥰 We are so lucky to be able to open our doors to some of the nicest people I have come to meet and even call friends. Although this country does not make it easy to run a small business or just live as normal hard working people, we are trying our hardest to keep Cologin a peaceful slice of the countryside where you will be welcomed as part of our life and family even if it’s just for a night or a couple of weeks 💕

To all my hard working team and parents that have kept everything moving forward while I learn to be a mum, I can not thank you enough. Here’s to a new year, a new season, welcoming back old guests and a whole new set of faces coming to stay. We are ready and we are looking forward to opening our doors to you and your family 🙏
