Happy Easter – Spring has sprung!

So as promised in our last blog, Jim and I have been ‘missing in action’ for the last few weeks – cruising around South America and crossing the Atlantic ocean (and the equator) leaving Katie to get on with all those winter jobs that always take longer and cost more than planned! And Easter was early this year, so bless her she has been working hard this Spring. Most tasks involve improvements toย infrastructure (upgrading water and wifi, repairs, renewals and replacements to lodge interiors and exteriors) but all are necessary to keep the site running smoothly. Thankfully Cologin was ready for our Easter visitors and many took advantage of the new breakfast service on offer from the Barn Bar. On Saturdays and Sundays you can now enjoy Big Angus’s full cooked breakfast, Kippers with chickpea pancakes, Eggs Benny, Porridge, Baked Banana with Granola, Avocado, Smoked salmon and scrambled egg or Pancakes with a range of toppings.

 

Not surprisingly, the Barn had their busiest Sunday since Covid and guests have been thrilled with this season’s menus. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Barn Bar social media updates for any changes, specials and news from the team.ย 

Julie and Angus have been such a positive addition to Cologin and they’ve taken the Barn to the next level. Make sure you book a table during your stay with us this year as word has spread and visitors are travelling from far beyond Oban to enjoy their fabulous food and friendly service. Pets are welcome inside and kids can run around outside or let off steam in the playpark.

So with the Easter holidays under way we are looking forward to welcoming you to Cologin this season.
