Business Opportunity at Cologin

A full year of operating under Covid restrictions has led Michael to reconsider his options and sadly the Hewitt family have given notice and will move on at the end of this season. Whilst we (and our guests) will miss the team we understand the challenges that they have faced since the pandemic and we appreciate all the work they’ve done to keep the pub/restaurant open in uncertain times. However, we refuse to see this as a set back and believe that this presents a once in a lifetime opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic new operator to take on the Barn and perhaps lead it in a completely new direction!

The Barn has always been the social hub of Cologin, but times and habits have changed and with so many superb restaurants in Oban our guests are spoilt for choice. Having this facility on site saves travelling into town for a drink or a meal, but we are open to all good ideas that will benefit our guests so if you’re reading this and you relish the opportunity then please get in touch. We will certainly consider all and every option!

There’s a staff lodge at Cologin so accommodation on site can be provided and this could be a real change for someone who has a dream to escape to the country.
