A Bard Blog – taking Google’s AI bot for a spin!
So just for fun I thought I’d try out Google’s AI chatbot. Called Bard – the chatbot generated the following copy in response to my prompt to produce a Spring blog for our website!
(Please note, the sentence I’ve highlighted is factually incorrect – there are two museums in town – Oban’s War and Peace Museum – and the 1745 House Museum at Dunollie. Other than that Bard has made some sensible Spring suggestions.)

I did ask Bard to suggest some images to go with the blog but apparently the ‘chatbot’ is designed solely to process and generate text. I admit to being fairly impressed. Perhaps one day we will have robots to clean and maintain our lodges – that would be a real step forward!
So here’s a photo of our newly refurbished lodge number 10 as I am guessing no-one is that interested in our new roofs or our cold-water tank storage annual deep-clean and disinfection! And of course a lovely image of Oban in its Spring colours.
