Book self-catering accommodation at Cologin and explore our tranquil surroundings. Reconnect with nature with serene walks, wild swimming in our loch and enjoy the scent of the forests as you breathe in beautiful clean, fresh air.
Connecting with nature through our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch is hugely beneficial for our wellbeing. Just a couple of hours spent ‘bathing’ in the forest will allow you to unwind and rebalance your self and your soul. You don’t have to do anything other than relax and enjoy all that the natural world around Cologin offers to benefit your health, but if you want to do more there are plenty of options in our glen and nearby in Oban itself to treat your physical body, your energic system, emotional and mental health.
Try Bowen with a local practitioner in Lerags or visit the ReCentre rooms in Oban for physiotherapy, massage, sound therapy or classes in yoga, tai-chi and pilates. Oban has some wonderful massage specialists and reiki healers too – see our welcome folder for our personal recommendations (top of our list is Lynne at Oban Massage). There are also several spa options in the area if you want to indulge yourself for a full (or half) day and several beauticians offering everything from collagen lifts to lash treatments. Try Oban Spa at the Obay Bay Hotel, Isle of Eriska Hotel or for a full day out take the scenic drive (and ferry) to Portavadie just off the coast from Tarbert.
New for 2023 – Highland Holistic has just opened a treatment room at Melfort Village a few miles south of Cologin. Combine with a visit to Arduaine Gardens for a restorative day of wellness and wellbeing – we can also personally recommend the bistro at Loch Melfort Hotel for a meal or drink with an amazing sea view.
Make time for yourself and focus on what’s important. The pandemic years have taken their toll and we all need to be kinder to ourselves and to each other.
